Houston, Texas January 7, 1997 --Continuing its aggressive push to maintain its
leadership position in Gould/SEL/Encore Third Party Support, TECHNOLOGY MARKETING GROUP
(TMG) today announced that a total rehost of the computer systems processors used in Continental
Airlines 737-300 Full Flight Simulator located at Continental's Houston Training Center has been
completed.
TMG replaced all 32/77 CPU'S and IPU'S with state-of-the-art TMG Reality
processors. In addition to a significant reduction in power consumption, environmental require-
ments, and improving total simulator performance, the new processors reduced counts from
seven (7) which included CPU (or IPU), Writable Control Store (WCS), and Floating Point Unit
(FPU) into a single board configuration.
The rehosting of the 737-300 simulator will provide the Continental Airlines with
greater overall reliability, reduced operating costs, significant processing gains, and will also extend
the longevity of the current flight simulator's operation.
